I have to say the tension
is getting to me now - any hour, any minute our son or daughter will be born and so to the future and, for me and the 69th, a new season.
I have to explain my absence last season - firstly the knowledge that we were to have a small one changed many things, as it would; secondly as some of you probably know I have experienced some hearing loss, which is now thankfully much much better due to an operation I have had before. To put it bluntly I wasn't prepared to risk the racket of the muskets and the cannon ... last season at least.
So here's to a new one.
I hope all of you are well and many congratulations to you, Sir, on your launch.
I'll get some photos up when the little drummer girl comes along...
